Leeds United will be mourning the death of former club legend Jack Charlton as they face Swansea City in the Championship, however three points would move them within one win of a return to the Premier League.
Swansea harbour their own play-off ambitions after a midweek win at Birmingham left them just one point outside of the play-off places in 7th place.
When and Where?
The game will take place at The Liberty Stadium, the home of Swansea City on Sunday 12th July with kick off at 1:30pm.
In these two clubs 39 previous meetings, Leeds have come out on top with over 50% of wins having won 20, whilst the Welsh side have won 12 and the other seven have ended all square.
At Elland Road in August it was Steve Cooper’s men who snatched a 1-0 win thanks to a 90th minute strike from Wayne Routledge.
Last time these two met at The Liberty Stadium it finished 2-2 in an entertaining game.
Whites head coach Marcelo Bielsa could name the same side which beat Stoke City 5-0 on Thursday. Jordon Garrick is available for Swansea again following a three match ban.
Last Five Games

(W) 5-0 vs Stoke
(W) 3-1 vs Blackburn
(D) 1-1 vs Luton
(W) 3-0 vs Fulham
(L) 0-2 vs Cardiff City
Both of these sides have a lot riding on this fixture. Leeds Manager Marcelo Bielsa will not want to see a repeat of last season where his side drifted out of premier league contention in the remaining weeks of the season.
Swansea a re in good form and have momentum with on-loan Liverpool striker Rhian Brewster scoring weekly so this is a tough one to call.
Leeds are so close to the Premier League return that they have dreamt of for the last 15 years so I am going with them to put a solid shift in here and win by a small margin.
Score prediction: Swansea 1-2 Leeds United
