Addicks To Add A Point To Tally In Bid For Survival

Birmingham take on Charlton in a relegation clash at St Andrew's on Wednesday with the added spice of Charlton's Lee Bowyer being the odds on favourite to replace Pep Clotet who departed this week.

The Blues start in 18th place with 49 points three places ahead of their visitors who have 46 points.

Since the restart City have drawn 2 but lost 4 on the spin and have to go back to 11th February to find their last win with a 1-0 victory over Barnsley, City won the reverse fixture at The Valley back in September when young hotshot Jude Bellingham got the winner in a 1-0 win.

Charlton started the restart well but are now also on a 3 game run of consecutive defeats, they are a point above Hull in the bottom 3 and with title-chasing Leeds still to come to The Valley this will be seen as a must-win game.

Blues caretaker coaches are Craig Gardener and Steve Spooner and the former may remove himself from the lineup, Nico Gordon may also drop out to allow Dan Crowley and Jeremie Bela to return

Lee Bowyer finds himself with a full-strength squad but may consider changing tactics switching to a 3-5-2 which would see Sam Field and Jake Forster-Caskey to return to the centre of midfield and Naby Sarr to return to defence.

Prediction

Both teams completely out of form and I cant see the Addicks singing the Blues so will go for a tense 1-1 draw
